Bring Back My Bar - Dawn's Review #4

Happy almost New Year everyone!!!!  Today I'll be reviewing Pretty in Pink and Buttermints.

Pretty In Pink - such a fun and flirty scent.  A bit of floral, with a hint of amber.  To me this is a very happy scent, very nice.  Feminine white florals with a touch of grapefruit over rich amber and wood.  The wax is a really pretty pink color too!

Buttermints - Kind of a soft, subtle scent.  Not too minty.  It does smell like mint candy.  Melt in your mouth peppermint candies with subtle hints of creamy butter.

Bring Back My Bar - Dawn's Review #3

Mysterious - gosh, this one is mysterious. I'm not really sure what I'm smelling.  Its a nice smell, subtle, sort of earthy and woody.  The description reads - spicy, fresh & woody - this masculine fragrance evolks stength and vitality.  Its not a real strong smell, but very nice.

Berries & Bubbly - Mmmmmmm.  I likey!  I do smell the strawberries.  Not too much bubbly though.  The description reads - sweet strawberry aroma with champagne.  Nice!

Bring Back My Bar - Dawn's Review #2

Amaretto - ahhhh, the memories of dancing to the music of the 80s at Rumour's Night Club while drinking amaretto collins comes to mind.  Its a sweet smell of almond, honey and spices. 

Toasted Apple Butter - smells a little bit like apple pie, but not as cinnamony.  Smells like apple, creamy butter and a hint of spices.

Bring Back My Bar - Dawn's Reviews

They are finally here!!!  My Bring Back My Bars just arrived yesterday!  Over 5 million people voted and these are the top 20 Scentsy scents from the votes cast.   I will be posting a review on 2 of these scents every day for the next 10 days. 

I was really looking forward to smelling these 2 scents in particular and boy - I surely was not disappointed!

Coffee Tree - if you love the smell of deep, rich coffee brewing in the morning, then you are going to just LOVE this one! 

Eucalyptus - I really like this one too.  It smells a little like vicks vapor rub but not as strong.  Its kind of a soft, calming smell.  The description says soothing, medicinal and fresh.

The Yummiest Smelling Party Favors Ever!

I LOVE my Scentsy party favors!  I have a collection of them in each bathroom - I open them up and place them in a cute bowl or bucket and it makes my bathroom smell wonderful!  I also have one in my car, it heats up just enough to melt the wax a little bit to release some of the fragrance (I haven't parked the car in the hot sun yet, so not sure how that will work out - be sure to have a dish or something under it just in case it melts and overflows).

So - how do you get one of my prizes possessions?  Be a host or attend one of my Scentsy parties.  I give these as party favors for everyone who attends one of my parties (while supplies last).  Once I run out, thats it.  No more.  So be sure to book your party ASAP so you and your friends can start your own collection of smellies.

Scentsy Scents -- Comfort & Joy, December Scent of the Month 2011

Annual Holiday Appreciation Party

The first Saturday in December is reserved for my Annual Holiday Appreciation Party!  I had so much fun this year planning and getting everything ready for this fun event.  Its my way of thanking all of my hosts and customers that supported me and my Scentsy business throughout the year.  

Party Favors



Now I am not a crafty person whatsoever, but I think I did pretty good with the party favors and gift sets that I put together.  Now these are not my ideas at all!  I took the party favor idea from Tabetha - you have the most amazing ideas girl!  And I had to search the web on how to make pretty gift sets.  Lame, I know, but I am just not very creative with the fru fru....I'm getting better though (LOL)!





Solid Perfume & Scent Pack gift set



Everyone arrived on-time.  I had them fill out their name tag with their first name and their favorite TV show.  It was a really great ice breaker and it got everyone mingling and having fun (my fave TV show is Grey's Anatomy).  Then it was time for my on-time drawing.  Trish was the big winner of a Piece by Piece, Autism Speaks warmer and a Cranberry Muffin Scentsy bar.  It was so amazing because she mentioned that her son was just diagnosed with a form of Autism, and it was so amazing that she won that warmer!  Unbelievable.

Now for the fun!  I passed out a blank Scentsy Bingo card.  They had 30 minutes to smell all of our amazing scents and create their own Scentsy Bingo card by writing down their favorite scents on the squares.  Plus they could "earn" a FREE SPACE by pledging to book a home or on-the-go pouch party.  They had a blast smelling all of our wonderful scents, sharing stories of what each scent reminded them of.  When their cards were filled out - I had Jaren, Michelle's 3 year old son, help me call out the scents for everyone to check off on their card.  In a little while I hear a loud "Scentsy" (they had to yell Scentsy instead of Bingo)!  A winner!  We had so much fun playing Scentsy Bingo - a big hit!!!

I am truly thankful to my family, friends, co-workers, customers, hosts, Believe to Succeed team, and fellow Scent-A-Holics.  Without you, I would not have a business!  I love meeting new people, sharing my love for Scentsy and seeing the joy it brings to everyone who experiences it.  The party was a wonderful success.  We all had a great time.  As I was walking people out, I noticed the friendships that were shared with everyone who attended.....I have the best customers!  Next years event will be even better!  I can't wait!  Big HUGS!!!
