Shower Gel vs Shower Cream....whats the diff?

Did you know that Scentsy has launched a brand new product line - Layers by Scentsy?  This amazing bath, body and laundry care line lets you build your daily fragrance ~ layer by layer.

Imagine - starting your morning with a delightful shower using your Coconut Lemongrass shower cream.  You jump out of the shower and grab your fluffy Coconut Lemongrass scented towel thanks to our new Washer Whiffs and Dryer Disks laundry care products.

Then moisturize your skin with our luxurious body lotion and body butter for those extra dry areas (heels and elbows).  Before you head out the door you spray yourself with body spray for a little extra zing.   As you begin your day at work, you put on some Sugar Cookie hand cream.

As you turn in for the night, you snuggle in your Coconut Lemongrass scented blankie and sheets.  Ahhhhh!

So the question for today is, whats the difference between the shower gel and the shower cream.  Our Shower Gel is a lightly foaming gel the refreshes with amazing Scentsy fragrances and comforts with vitamin B5 which is known to promote healthy skin.  Our Shower Cream will turn your daily shower into a pampering experience.  Emollient soybean oil enriches this luscious cream to smooth and moisturize your skin.

When I first saw shower cream in the catalog I thought, why in the world do you need a cream in the shower?  So ok, I didn't know it was soap.  I thought it was some sort of lotion...DUH!  The difference between the two is that the shower cream lathers more and the lather is much softer and more emollient.  Just a little bit will make your poufy bath sponge very sudsy.  And it rinses off clean, no residue or greasy feeling.

So for me, my preference is the Shower Cream.  Both the Gel and the Cream are fabulous but because I tend to have drier skin, I like the softness and moisture in the Shower Cream better.  Happy sudzing....

Hugs,
Dawn

Big Little Inspiration

Have you had one of those days where it turned out nothing like you had planned.  You go through your day, same old, same old then BAM - a big little inspiration hits you upside your head.  That day for me was last week Saturday.  I participated in the Re-Discover Ewa Beach event which was coordinated by the Ewa Beach Community Based Development Organization.  First off, I really didn't expect much from this event. I had a little 6 foot space, it was their very first event, it was free for vendors to participate.  So I didn't expect much at all.  Boy was I wrong.  The event was run very smoothly, they had awesome entertainment continually throughout the day, there was food vendors and games for the kids, all of the vendoers were so warm and welcoming and the steady stream of happy and interesting customers kept me busy throughout the day.

But the biggest little inspiration came in the form of my neighbor.  Cyane.  She designed and created the cutest little bottle cap magnets, necklaces, and pulleys.  She had her own business cards, she recruited her friends and family to help her man her table, and at the end of the day, she treated her helpers to some shaved ice to thank them for their hard work.  I noticed throughout the day she would call people over to her booth and create excitement.  She even changed her marketing strategy by offering special discounts as the day progressed.  Oh, did I mention she was all of 9 or 10 years old?  I was totally amazed by her creativity, tenacity, focus, and drive to succeed that day.

Maybe some of us can take a lesson from this 10 year old.  She was poised, confident and passionate about her creations and her business.  If you have a passion for something, take that chance and give it a whirl.  Step out of your comfort zone and stretch a little bit further.

I know that one day she will be an amazing business woman.  When I grow up, I want to be just like her.

Bring Back My Bar - Dawn's Review #10

Gosh - its been so fun reviewing our Bring Back My Bars for January 2012!   The last 2 scents to be reviewed are Cinnamon Cider and Vanilla Walnut.  Remember.....the Bring Back My Bars are available in January only - so make sure that you stock up on your favorites!

Cinnamon Cider - I'm not much of a cinnamon gal, but I really like this scent.  It smells a bit like apple pie, but softer.  Tart apples balanced with aok and spicy cinnamon.

Vanilla Walnut - Wow!  You can really smell the walnut and vanilla in this one.  This scent is Heidi's pick!  A warm fragrance with roasted walnut and sweet vanilla bean.  Yum!

Here is a list of all 20 Bring Back My Bars.

Bring Back My Bars - Dawn's Review #9

We got 4 more bars to review.  This has been so fun sharing and reviewing our Bring Back My Bars!  Today I will be reviewing Spiced Grapefruit & Cranberry Spice.

Spiced Grapefruit - Wow!!!!   The grapefruit scent really comes through big time on this one.  I love it!!!!  Its a bright, fruity scent.  Mandarin and Bergamot citrus perfectly balanced with spicy Coriander, Nutmeg & All Spice.

Cranberry Spice - Mmmmmm...this one is a really warm scent.  A generous blend of cloves and ginger help define the sophistication of tart cranberries.  This one is Orville's pick!

My last review will be on Cinnamon Cider & Vanilla Walnut.  See you tomorrow!
